Using Lures For Spring Trout

Spring time is probably one of the best times to go trout fishing. Here in Michigan we have the opening of trout fishing the fourth Saturday in April. In early spring we have very good Brown trout fishing trolling with spoons and body baits close to the Lake Michigan shoreline with long lines or planer boards. The idea is to get your lures as far away from the boat as possible because in this shallower water the big Brown Trout are very spooky. These Brown Trout are feeding on bait fish that are close to shore.
